Accessibility statement
Palmyra Academic Press aims for its website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This statement says what has been checked and what has not.
What has been checked
- Text and background colours of the site's design meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1.
- The menus work with a keyboard: the phone menu opens, closes with the Escape key and returns focus; the journal and author menus open when reached by keyboard.
- Main pages have one main heading and a heading order without gaps.
- Pages have been checked at widths from 320 to 1,440 pixels without sideways scrolling.
- Every page declares its language, and a "skip to content" link comes first.
Known limitations
- Testing so far used Chromium-based browsers only. Safari, Firefox and screen readers have not yet been tested.
- PDF versions of articles come from the authors' files and may not be fully accessible.
- Some pages of the underlying publishing system, such as the submission area, keep that system's own design.
