The Palmyra Journal of Management & Leadership publishes peer-reviewed research on how organisations are led and managed. It welcomes rigorous empirical, theoretical and methodological contributions in organisational behaviour, leadership, human resource management, organisational change, and public and non-profit management.

The journal has a particular interest in evidence from emerging and under-represented economies, and in studies that report their measurement and analysis transparently enough to be replicated.

Current status

Palmyra Journal of Management & Leadership is a new journal in preparation. It has not yet been assigned an ISSN, and it is not yet indexed in any bibliographic database. An ISSN application will be made to the ISSN National Centre of India after the first issue is published and publicly available, as that centre's guidelines require. Indexing applications follow a record of regular, complete issues — they are not sought in advance, and no claim of indexing will appear on this site before it is true.

Editorial board

The editorial board is being constituted. Named members, with their real institutional affiliations, will be listed here once each has confirmed appointment in writing. No name appears on this page without that confirmation.

Scholars interested in serving as an editor or reviewer are invited to write to editor@palmyrapub.org with a CV and a statement of expertise.

Peer review

All research submissions undergo double-anonymised peer review by at least two independent reviewers. Authors and reviewers are not made known to one another. The editor's decision is based on the reviewers' reports and on the manuscript's fit with the journal's aims and scope.

Manuscripts are first checked by the editorial office for scope, completeness, ethical declarations and similarity screening. Manuscripts that fail this check are returned without review.

The journal publishes on a continuous schedule of two issues per year. Review times depend on reviewer availability and are not guaranteed; this journal makes no promise of rapid acceptance.

Open access and charges

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

There are no article processing charges (APCs) and no submission fees. The journal is published on a diamond open-access basis: costs are borne by the publisher, not by authors or readers.

Copyright and licensing

Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication.

Publication ethics and malpractice statement

This journal follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Editors decide on the basis of scholarly merit alone, without regard to the author's nationality, institution, gender or seniority. Submissions are screened for similarity; plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission and undisclosed conflicts of interest are grounds for rejection or, after publication, retraction.

Corrections and retractions are published openly and linked from the original article, which is never silently removed. Allegations of misconduct may be sent to editor@palmyrapub.org and will be investigated with the author's institution where appropriate.

The journal does not sell authorship, does not guarantee acceptance, and does not levy any charge on authors at any stage.
